Leading Experiential Learning Startups, CapSource and Student Opportunity Center, Announce New Partnership to Help Make Experiential Learning More Accessible for Students Around the Globe
CapSource and Student Opportunity Center are joining forces to expand experiential learning opportunities for students and faculty at higher education institutions around the world.
CapSource, an education technology startup company that helps higher education institutions bridge the skills gap by integrating experiential learning with real companies directly into the curriculum, officially announced its new partnership with ‘kayak for experiential learning’ platform Student Opportunity Center.
CapSource facilitates project-based learning engagements by connecting business school students with companies looking to solve real business challenges. CapSource has built a directory of partner companies interested in collaborating with students and their schools. CapSource also designs the engagements to ensure that project scopes align with course learning objectives. Student Opportunity Center is the nation’s first experiential learning aggregator, acting like “TripAdvisor” or “Kayak” for bringing together relevant listings from around the web. With the new partnership, SOC’s students will have access to more project-based experiential learning opportunities through CapSource’s network of companies.
“Our team recognizes that internships are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to providing students with access to the real world exposure and training they need to succeed from day one in the workplace,” said Chris Freire, CEO of Student Opportunity Center. “Our partnership with CapSource will provide students more access to companies through a variety of different formats designed to provide them with real professional experience.”
Jordan Levy, Founder & Executive Director at CapSource, said, “CapSource companies are already pre-vetted for experiential learning, and students get the added benefit of professional project scoping and design assistance to ensure the experience is built with their learning objectives in mind from the ground up. Through our partnership with SOC, we will be able to make experiential learning with real companies more scalable and accessible to students and their institutions than ever before.”
CapSource provides traditional education programs with access to a directory of companies interested in developing students through experiential learning. Using our hands-on collaborations, students learn by working on real challenges with business leaders from our network of host companies. We help design the projects so that they align with teaching goals and company objectives in order to maximize the outcomes for all parties. Based in New York, NY, CapSource provides students with an immersive, engaging, hands-on learning experience through their highly effective engagement formats, including Site Visits, Co-Ops, Live Business Cases, and Capstone Projects.
